Softball got its first and second wins of the season last Saturday in a double header against Pierce college.
One game was a forfeit by Pierce but the in game the Eagles finished, they scored an impressive 11 runs and left their opponents scoreless.
Heach Coach Chris Hylland says they stuck to the game plan, playing simple softball and managed to remain mentally strong throughout.
The Eagles had lost their previous three games and part of the problem has been that they were unable to maintain a high level of play during all 7 innings.
Hylland says he believes the team has been capable of winning all of their games, but the mistakes have weighed heavily on the players at times and prevented them from executing as well as they wanted.
Offensively LA Mission has been playing well getting 6 or more runs in their last three games.
With this first win under their belt the Eagles hope to build momentum through the next few games with their first home game coming up Wednesday.
They will be playing Pasadena City College at El Cariso Park at 2 pm.
Thursday they will be at home again playing Oxnard College at also at 2 pm.
