LA Mission Eagles Men's Soccer Move on to the 3rd Round of the CCCAA State Playoffs

Los Angeles Mission College's Men's Soccer team defeated the #2 ranked Rio Hondo College Roadrunners last night at the University of La Verne. The Roadrunners took the lead at the 60th minutes, but the Eagles returned the favor in the 75th minute. The goal came off of an assist by #10 Erick Villatoro to #23 Carlos Solorio. The Eagles battled the Roadrunners through two overtime periods. The game went to penealty kicks. The Eagles were perfect from teh spot converting 4 out of 4 and they did not need to have a 5th shooter. The roadrunner's 2nd shooter struck the post and then the game ended when their 4th shooter's shot was saved by the Eagles GK #1 Esteban Chavez.

Your 10th ranked Eagles (13-4-6) travel on Saturday the 28th at 2:00pm to face our Western Sate Conference foes the 5th ranked Oxnard College Condors (16-4-3). The Eagles and the Condors split the two games they played in the regular season. This will be a very exciting match as a state berth is on the line. The winner will travel to De Anza College the following week to compete in the State Final 4! Ticket prices are $12 for adults… $8 for LAMC College Staff with ID, students with ID, senior citizens, and children under 12 (these prices are set by the CCCAA office in Sacramento).
