Eagles Rally to Earn 2–2 Draw Against Oxnard
The LA Mission College men’s soccer team showed grit and determination Friday night, battling back from an early two-goal deficit to earn a 2–2 draw against Oxnard College at home.

In the 22nd minute, midfielder Diego Ceja got LA Mission right back into it, burying a well-placed finish to make it 2–1. From that point on, the Eagles started to click — pressing higher, connecting passes, and testing the Oxnard back line.
The second half was all Mission. They controlled possession, created nine shots after halftime, and kept Oxnard on their heels. Goalkeeper Josue Orona came up big when it mattered, making two crucial saves to keep the Eagles within striking distance.
As the final seconds ticked away, LA Mission earned one last push forward. A scramble in the box ended with defender Pablo Leon in the right place at the right time. Leon slammed home the equalizer in the 90th minute, sending teammates sprinting in celebration as the crowd erupted. Nine yellow cards total — but the Eagles stayed composed and finished strong.
