L.A. Mission softball brings home two wins!

In the first game of the doubleheader, L.A. Mission defeated their Southwestern 8-0. In the first inning, L. Stell hit a single that allowed J. Ruiz to score. In the third inning, L. Stell hit another single that resulted in D. Rubio scoring, followed by J. Villegas hitting a single that allowed L. Stell to advance to second and J. Ruiz to score. In the fifth inning, B. Uribe reached first on a fielder's choice, allowing L. Stell to advance to third and M. Leon to score. In the sixth inning, L. Mora hit a single that allowed D. Rubio to score. L. Stell then hit a homerun with the bases loaded, allowing E. Flores and L. Mora to score, bringing the game to an end with a score of 8-0 in favor of L.A. Mission.

In the second game of the doubleheader, L.A. Mission won again, this time with a score of 7-4. In the first inning, L. Stell reached first on an error and allowed J. Ruiz to score. J. Villegas hit a single, allowing L. Stell to advance to second and E. Flores to score. D. Rubio then hit a single, allowing J. Villegas and S. Miller to score, making it a 3-0 lead for L.A. Mission. In the bottom of the first inning, Southwestern's K. Harper hit a single that allowed D. Sandez to score. J. Beatty then hit a double that allowed M. Mendez and K. Harper to score, bringing the score to a tie of 3-3. In the second inning, E. Flores hit a double that allowed L. Mora to score, giving L.A. Mission a 4-3 lead. In the sixth inning, L. Mora hit a single that allowed J. Jimenez to score, followed by L. Stell hitting a double that allowed L. Mora to score. In the bottom of the sixth inning, M. Mendez hit a single that allowed K. Harper to advance to third and H. Oceguera to score, resulting in a final score of 6-4 in favor of L.A. Mission.
