Eagles Earn Playoff Berth in 2025–26 Season Under First-Year Head Coach Vicky Oganyan
The Los Angeles Mission College women’s basketball team returned to the postseason in 2025–26, posting a winning record and building momentum under first-year head coach Vicky Oganyan.
The Los Angeles Mission College women's basketball team finished the 2025–26 season with a 15-14 overall record and a 6-6 mark in conference play, earning a berth in the Southern California Regional playoffs in the second year of the program under first-year head coach Vicky Oganyan. The Eagles averaged 56.8 points per game while allowing 56.0, demonstrating a balanced approach that helped secure their postseason position.
Offensively, Mission was led by Heart Lising, who appeared in 27 games and averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game on 42.0 percent shooting, finishing the season with 439 total points. Crystal Pasaye added 9.4 points per game and connected on a team-high 63 three-pointers, while Erin Topacio contributed 6.7 points per game with 47 made three-pointers. The Eagles totaled 195 three-pointers on the season and averaged 11.0 assists per game, led by Lising (3.2 assists per game) and Nat Gaspar (2.9 assists per game).
Defensively and on the glass, Ashley Martin led the team with 213 total rebounds, averaging 8.2 rebounds per game, while Lising added 150 rebounds (5.6 per game). Victoria Eufracio anchored the interior defense with a team-high 18 blocks, and the Eagles recorded 52 blocks and 337 steals overall, averaging 12.0 steals per game. Mission outrebounded opponents 1059-1049 over the course of the season.
The Eagles put together key stretches throughout the season, including a strong December run with wins over Desert (68-57), Cuyamaca (73-32), Citrus (83-49), and West LA (81-60), and opened January with an 84-52 road victory at San Bernardino Valley. Mission also secured conference wins over Allan Hancock (64-44), Oxnard (64-42), and Cuesta (52-45), finishing .500 in conference play.
Mission advanced to the postseason but fell in the opening round of the Southern California Regionals, dropping a 71-46 decision at Saddleback. The season marked continued progress for the Eagles, highlighted by a return to the playoffs and consistent production on both ends of the floor.
