Eagles Advance to 3C2A State Championship with 5-1 Regional Final Win Over Orange Coast

The Los Angeles Mission College women's tennis team is headed to the 3C2A State Championship after defeating Orange Coast College, 5-1, in the regional finals on Saturday.
The Eagles set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to take a commanding lead. At No. 1 doubles, Jaelyn and Priscilla earned an 8-5 victory. Amy and America were dominant at No. 2 doubles, winning 8-2, while Josilyn and Ali completed the sweep with an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
Mission continued its strong play in singles competition. Priscilla was outstanding at No. 4 singles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Ali added another point for the Eagles with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
Although Orange Coast picked up its lone point by default at No. 5 singles, the overall match reflected the Eagles' depth and fight across the lineup. At No. 2 singles, Jaelyn showed tremendous resilience after dropping the first set and battling back after being just one point away from losing the match. At No. 1 singles, Amy was locked in a competitive battle with the score even at 1-1. Josilyn was also in strong position at No. 3 singles, leading after taking the first set and standing tied 5-5 in the second.
With the regional championship victory, the Eagles now advance to face Sierra College next week for the 3C2A State Championship.
Los Angeles Mission has continued to build momentum throughout the postseason, and Saturday's win showcased the team's determination, composure, and ability to rise to the occasion on one of the biggest stages of the year.
