The Eagles were victorious in their first home match of the season against the Santiago Canyon Hawks.

They won 3 sets to 1 by sticking to their game plan of serving tough and playing solid defense. Samantha Sedano was dominant, having a big offensive performance.
Sedano had a match high of 17 kills with a hitting percentage of 0.375.
L.A. Mission came out serving strong in set one and won 25-16.
In set two, the Hawks capitalized on poor passing and unforced errors by Mission and went up 21-12.
It looked like the Eagles were going to make a comeback when Libero, Samantha Sullivan, had a long serving run making the score 21-18.
In the end, Santiago won set two 25-18.
In the third and fourth set, the Eagles cleaned up their game and won 25-19 and 25-13.
Sullivan led the team in digs with 16, and Noemi Campos had 37 assists in the match.
This win brings their record up to 4-1.
The team will be traveling to Allan Hancock College for their next match, Friday, September 8.
