2017 Women's Cross Country Season Begins
As the season begins, the athletes and coaches are aware of the challenge of being the first Coaching and Competing team for Cross Country after the 19 year hiatus.
"We are honored and excited to take on the 2017 Cross country season," says Coach Fedi. "I am impressed by the transformation that has occurred on the team. Through hard work, passion, and dedication, we have grown very strong and close as a team; ready to compete. Our plan for the first race is to get that racing experience under our belt and hit our time goals."
The new athletes bring to the team a successful academic background and the Cross country program's aim this season is to maintain a balance between their academic success and athletic endeavors.
The goal is to gain as much racing experience as possible, improve competition tactics and approach, ending the 2017 season with a cross country program that has matured.
Julia Pickslay will join Coach Fedi as an assistant coach this season.
"I am excited to have Coach Pickslay as my assistant," says Coach Fedi. "She comes with a lot of success, personal, and competitive coaching experience. We both share the same instincts and passion for developing athletes, so it is going to be a dynamic season."
