Eagles Sweep Riverside to Stay Undefeated

The Los Angeles Mission College Eagles closed out their Saturday doubleheader in dominant fashion, sweeping Riverside City College 3–0 (25–19, 25–12, 25–17). The victory capped off a perfect day for Mission and extended the team's undefeated start to the 2025 season.

 Match Summary

Mission controlled the tempo from the opening set. Tawnie Ohrt and Maddie Perry paced the attack early, helping the Eagles secure a 25–19 win in the first frame.

The second set was all Eagles, as Amya Cheatham January dominated in the middle and Rio Sandaiji spread the offense efficiently. Mission rolled to a decisive 25–12 victory.

Riverside fought to stay in the match during the third, but the Eagles' balance proved too much. Strong back-row defense and consistent hitting sealed a 25–17 win and the sweep.
